Insurance is valid for the term of your voucher
This policy covers your Travel Auctions BID AMOUNT ONLY (less excess and any outstanding funds) in the event of unforeseeable ill health, accident and/or death.

Coverage:
All Travel Auctions vouchers issued are for two adults, travelling together (unless otherwise stated) and this cancellation insurance covers the person/s named on the original Travel Auctions voucher and his/her spouse/ /travelling companion only. The cancellation insurance is NOT TRANSFERRABLE and is valid for the ORIGINAL VALIDITY PERIOD of the Travel Auctions package only.

Claiming:
A claim form is available upon request from the Travel Auctions Accounts Office.

Cancellation fees and lost deposits:
Per the original Travel Auctions voucher, vouchers are not redeemable for cash or credit, however:

A. We will pay the bid amount paid on the original Travel Auctions package/s (less Excess and any outstanding funds) if you have to cancel your holiday package due to:

i.  You being unable to undertake or continue the holiday because of death, sudden illness or injury to you or your spouse/travelling companion.

ii.  You being unable to undertake or continue the holiday because of death, sudden illness or injury to a member of your immediate family, ie. parent, child or sibling.

Supporting documentation from a certified medical practitioner will be required to substantiate any claims.

B. We will pay the package providers’ cancellation fees up to the agreed price, but not more than the original bid amount.

C. We will not pay if cancellation occurs as a result of:

i.  A change to you or your travelling companions’ plans or circumstances

ii.  Any business, financial or contractual obligations.

Excess:
Upon receipt of the appropriate claim form requesting reimbursement of the bid amount along with the original Travel Auctions voucher and supporting documentation, Travel Auctions will effect reimbursement minus an excess of 10% of the price paid for the Travel Auctions package affected. The cancellation insurance premium is not refundable.

Processing:
From the date of receipt, claims may take up to 4 weeks to be processed.
