Why Port Victoria?
Every Yorke Peninsula town has its own personality.

Things to Do in Port Victoria
The Jetty The heart of the town, and for good reason. Locals fish here at dusk, kids leap off the sides in summer, and on a clear evening it's simply the best seat on the Peninsula for watching the sun disappear into Spencer Gulf.
Squid Fishing Port Victoria has a bit of a reputation among South Australian anglers, squid, garfish and tommy ruff are all regularly hauled in off the jetty. Bring a rod, or borrow the enthusiasm of the bloke standing next to you; someone always has a spare.
The Foreshore Park Right across from the hotel, the foreshore park is where mornings happen slowly, coffee in hand, kids on the grass, not a single reason to rush.
Wardang Island Shipwreck Trail History buffs and divers, take note: the waters off Port Victoria hide a genuine shipwreck trail, with vessels dating back over a century resting just offshore. A proper reason to bring the snorkel.
Day Trips Along the Coast Point Pearce and the quieter southern beaches are a short drive away if you want a stretch of sand entirely to yourselves, which, around here, isn't hard to find.
Getting to Port Victoria from Adelaide
Port Victoria is approximately 190 kilometres from Adelaide, around a two-and-a-half hour drive via Port Wakefield and Maitland.
Technically, that's day-trip distance.
But nobody drives two and a half hours to stay for lunch.
