If things have felt a little busier around here lately… that’s because they have been.
While our trusted Travel Auctions formula remains the same, we’ve been growing, evolving and giving things a bit of a facelift. So, we thought it was the perfect time to reintroduce ourselves and take you behind the scenes of who we are, how it all works, and where we’re heading next.

Proudly Australian family-owned and operated since 1992, Travel Auctions has now sent over one million Australians on short-stay holidays across the country. From cosy cabins along the coast, B&Bs in the outback, powered site adventures, houseboats on the river, and just about everything in between. Helping Australians travel for the price they want to pay.
So how does it work?
We give accommodation operators the opportunity to increase occupancy during quieter periods without advertising discounted rates. Instead, those savings are passed on through our auction-bidding model to every cheeky bidder who jumps in and wins.
It’s a genuine win-win.
And behind every winning bid, much-needed break and happy holiday snap is a passionate team, loyal operators and a business that’s proudly passed the baton to the next generation.
A Big, Busy & Brilliant 2025
2025 was one for the books.
It was a year of growth, connection and getting out on the road. Our team expanded, we welcomed some fantastic new faces, and we spent plenty of time meeting operators face-to-face, visiting properties, capturing fresh content and strengthening partnerships across the country.
Some 2025 highlights included:
- On the road property shoots and regional visits, including a dedicated shoot across the Fleurieu Peninsula
- A full website refresh, making it easier to browse, bid and plan your next getaway
- Weekly “On the Road” radio segments on FIVEAA with Ned McHenry and Graeme Goodings, spotlighting destinations across South Australia
- Incredible campaigns in partnership with South Australian Tourism Commission, Tourism Northern Territory, South Aussie with Cosi, Rebecca Morse just to name a few!
- Our much loved 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway, where our loyal community had the chance to win a stack of fun prizes over the festive season
Honestly? It was big. And we loved every minute of it.
Looking Ahead: What’s Coming in 2026
With all this growth, we’re heading into 2026 bigger, bolder and more excited than ever.
Here’s a little sneak peek of what’s on the horizon:
- More interstate collaborations and campaigns
- A stronger presence in Western Australia, including attending the 2026 Perth Camping & Caravan Show
- A new platform that will make Travel Auctions even easier to use from the comfort of your home (more on this very soon)
- More giveaways, more collaborations and more bloody good travel options across Australia!
